Well we made it back in one piece and the animals didn't even seem to miss us. Our trip to Chicago left much to be desired. Although there are many things to do and places to walk about overall there was something about it that we didn't care for.

It's hard to point out a specific thing that we didn't like; it was more a combination of things. The city is very crowded, besides the numerous visitors, conventioneers and other travelers who visit there regularly. It was very busy and there seems to be only skyscrapers everywhere. No houses or "homes" within the city limits. I am sure the drive into town from the airport may have something to do with this opinion. Maybe I am getting old but I can do without the traffic and the people who drive there.

I know that it is impossible to get a complete picture of a city in a couple of days but the areas I did see didn't make me want to come back. I may be missing something but with so much of the world still to see I'll take a chance and give the "Windy City" a miss in the future.
